In this section, you will find a series of videos designed to help you develop as a pianist and musician. They are the result of more than 60 years of searching for the most natural way of moving the fingers while playing the piano. Professor Frank teaches his students how to play with feeling without any tension and risk of hand damage. You’ll be able to learn methods to easily play difficult and fast passes or complex chords as well as producing quality and loud sound, and many other greatly useful practices.
About Mayer Frank
Mayer Frank was born in Rousse in 1946. He graduated from the Music School and the National Music Academy in Sofia and a two-year master class in piano under Prof. Lili Atanasova and chamber music under Prof. Konstantin Kugiyski.
In 1964, for the first time in Bulgaria, Mayer Frank performed Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach.
In 1970 he participated in an international seminar in the town of Weimar – Germany, with the Russian pedagogue Prof. Tatyana Nikolaeva. In 1972, the Italian pedagogue Prof. Vincenzo Vitali provides him with a scholarship for the international courses in Italian music in Rome and Venice.
Private Lessons
Professor Mayer Frank teaches private lessons online and in-person. For online lessons, he uses Skype and three cameras, one pointing to his face and two to the hands (one on each side of the piano). If you have at least one camera which you can use to show a clear image of your hands, you can sign up for a lesson. It is advisable to have two or three prepared pieces which you want to work on, but it is also possible to work on a single piece. Available hours are between 08:00 and 21:00 from Sunday to Friday.
